This is a natural twist on the famous Rice Krispie Treats! There are NO marshmallows in this recipe at all, yet you wouldn’t know the difference. Feel free to add ingredients of your desire like coconut, or maybe some fruit into the mixture.

Cook time: approximately 10 minutes
3 1/2 cups rice cereal
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup Cheerios
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Line melted butter or coconut oil around the edges of a 9 inch square pan. On medium heat in a small saucepan, bring the honey to a boil. Mix in the peanut butter and salt to the honey.
Place the Cheerios and rice cereal into a large bowl. Add the chocolate chips to the cereal. Pour the honey/peanut butter mixture heartily over the cereal. Mix well so all cereal is coated with the mixture.
Press the rice krispie mixture into the pan hardly. The cereal should be packed tightly. I liked using the back of my metal 1/2 cup measuring tool. Freeze for 30 minutes before serving the bars. Enjoy!
